LANNY DEAN
Lanny Dean is a seasoned storm chaser and lead forecasting meteorologist for Extreme Chase Tours. With 34 years of experience, he’s witnessed and filmed 700+ tornadoes and 14+ major hurricanes. Lanny has appeared on various media outlets, including The Weather Channel, CNN, and Good Morning America. He’s a two-time “Storm Chaser of the Year” award winner and has received numerous awards for his photojournalism and reporting, including an Emmy. Lanny is also working on a scientific research project studying acoustic and pressure data in supercells and tornadoes and is the lead author of two scientific peer reviewed papers.
RANDY HICKS
Randy Hicks, also known as The Outlaw, is a 31-year storm chasing veteran who has documented hundreds of tornadoes – some at very close range! Over the last 31 years, Randy has successfully deployed multiple ground-based probes in-situ to tornadoes and is considered one of the OGs of storm chasing. He is a skilled mechanic, a jack of all trades, and a published co-author of two scientific peer reviewed papers. Randy helps on tour with now-casting and logistics. You’ll likely get to meet and see him at the end of a long chase day.
CHAD BERRYHILL
Chad Berryhill is a guide and remote weather forecaster for Extreme Chase Tours, with 17 years of storm chasing experience and 45 tornado sightings. He’s passionate about meteorology and the outdoors, with hobbies including hunting, fishing, and photography. Chad is also known for his love of food – especially if you have snacks, hide them!
